Music Matters is an inclusive Community Choir that was founded by Gráinne O’Grady in April 2012. Their motto is: “One Choir, One Community, No Divides, ALL Abilities” and we couldn’t agree more, our residents have recently joined this community effort and with their love of music it is an ideal social and community activity.
All of Music Matters’ rehearsal and concert venues are always fully accessible for wheelchair users and those with mobility difficulties or sensory impairments. They always try to ensure in advance of any performances or events that accessible toilets are available. They also ensure that accessible parking is available at their rehearsal and performance venues.
Support work volunteers who can assist choir members are made available when possible and all workshop facilitators & musical directors are Garda vetted and deemed suitable to work with children, young people and vulnerable adults.
Family members, friends, siblings, staff members and carers are encouraged to stay for the rehearsals and participate in the choir. We cannot wait for our first concert!
